The newly named director of Jackson County United Way is no stranger to the organization or the community.
After a two-month search to replace retiring director Ruth Ann Rebber, the Jackson County United Way Board of Directors has appointed Tonja Couch to take over the reins of an organization that provides many services to the community.
Couch, a Jackson County native, worked as United Way program coordinator from 2007 to 2011 before leaving to serve as director of United Way’s 2-1-1 service in Bartholomew County.
