Cleanup efforts will continue through the end of the week at an auto parts maker in Seymour after a fire erupted on a pressurized hydraulic line Monday night.

The fire, reported at 9:10 p.m., occurred at a Valeo plant at 1234 A Ave. North in the Freeman Field Industrial Park after a line used to make plastic parts for headlamp assemblies developed a leak, burst and sprayed onto a hot press.

“It caused an ignition,” said Brad Warner, regional communications manager for Valeo North America.
