A 21-year-old Vallonia man died Saturday morning in a one-vehicle wreck.
According to Deputy Jesse Hutchinson with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, Justin M. Ault was driving a 2001 Chevrolet van north on State Road 135 when the vehicle left the roadway and traveled down an embankment. A caller told police the vehicle rolled several times before it came to rest upright in a field.
Ault was ejected from the van and was found by responding officers. Coroner Roger Wheeler pronounced Ault dead at the scene. Police said Ault was alone at the time of the wreck.
An autopsy performed by Dr. Wes Whitler at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour stated Ault died of internal injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the sheriff's department.
