“Boy genius” is probably not an accurate label for a 39-year-old man. Might be hyperbole, too.
But let’s go with it, anyway.
Because in NBA coaching years, 39 is young — especially when you got your start at 37. And when you stop and think about, what he’s accomplished in those 2½ seasons — under less than ideal circumstances — is nothing short of phenomenal.
