Volunteer organization raising money to fund purchase of property, move

AZALIA

The Orphan Grain Train all-volunteer ministry that gives items such as furniture, appliances and clothes to needy families locally and elsewhere is looking for a new 4- or 5-acre location by year’s end.

It is also looking to raise as much as $600,000 to cover purchasing the property and moving.

The organization ideally wants to find a building of about 13,000 square feet to house items. Currently, donated items are stored in truck trailers on various parts of the property of ministry manager Gene Wint’s farm.
