Applications are being accepted for the 2012-2013 Jackson County AmeriCorps program that will begin Aug. 15.

“This is the third year of this exciting program that brings 26 part-time AmeriCorps members to service in 10 Jackson County host sites,” Director Nancy Fleming of Jackson County United Way AmeriCorps Program said.

This year, there will be two members at Jackson County United Way, two at Child Care Network, three at READ Jackson County, one at Jackson County Learning Center, two at Anchor House, five at Girls Inc. of Jackson County, four at Boys & Girls Club of Seymour, four at Jackson County Public Library, one at La Paz de Cristo and two at Kentuckiana Girl Scouts.
