BROWNSTOWN — In Monday’s home match against Mid-Southern Conference rivals Scottsburg and Austin, Brownstown Central junior Nick Stahl was the first Brave golfer to break 40 this season.

Stahl finished with a 2-over-par 37 and earned medalist honors.

The next three Brave golfers, however, finished with rounds in the low to mid 40s, and Scottsburg was able to slip by Brownstown 168-171 for the win. The young Austin team finished third with a 263.
