Washington Lodge sets election day fish fry

Washington Lodge 13 Free and Accepted Masons will hold its annual Robert Coffman Memorial Scholarship Fund Fall Election Day Fish Fry on Tuesday in front of the lodge hall, 132 S. Main St., Brownstown.

Meals, consisting of a fish sandwich, chips and a drink for $5, will be served 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Meals may be purchased as eat in or to go.

Proceeds benefit the fund established in honor of the late Robert Coffman, a longtime lodge member. Scholarships are awarded each year to children and grandchildren of Masons who belong to Washington Lodge 13. The lodge has awarded $13,500 in scholarships since its inception.

The lodge conducts fish fries on Election Day in May and November every year.
