Schneck Medical Center offers a free educational seminar on surgical weight-loss options the second Monday of each month at the hospital.
During the seminar, Dr. Robert Cooper discusses the benefits and risks of weight loss surgery and its growing use for the treatment of morbid obesity.
The seminar offers information to determine if weight-loss surgery is the best choice. No reservations are required.
Cooper is board certified in surgery. He earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville and completed his surgical training at Boston University. He has developed advanced skills in laparoscopic surgery and is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgery.
Schneck Medical Center is an American Society for Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence.
The next seminar will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 10 in the Schneck Auditorium, just inside the visitors entrance.
