Henry Welker won both of his matches at No. 1 singles, and Trinity Lutheran went 1-1 at the other four positions to place second in Saturday’s Southern Indiana Tennis Conference Tournament at Hanover College.
Milan won with 13 points, while Trinity had eight, Southwestern (Hanover) scored six and Christian Academy had four.
Welker won against Christian Academy 6-2, 6-0 and Southwestern 6-3, 6-1. Trinity lost its openers at the other positions but bounced back with consolation wins.
Welker and Cougars No. 3 singles player Connor Galyen were awarded all-conference team honors.
