What pizza is on the top of the pizza lab board at Red Star Pizza? Which elementary school in Seymour has a nature center?

Participants pedaled across town Sept. 21 to find answers to those questions and others during B2 Bikes and Boards’ second Ride and Go Seek event.

The event was started in 2011 to raise funds for scholarships awarded each spring to high school seniors in the area.

The scavenger hunt took riders to 10 places around town where they had to either perform a task or answer a question.

“We tried to keep it with locally owned businesses,” organizer Andrea Sheldon said.

Jason Betro, owner of Red Star Pizza, said he thought the event was a neat idea.

“It’s a good idea to get people to go to local places,” Betro said. “They might find a place they like.”

Before completing the tasks, riders had to follow clues given in poem form to find their destination. Stops included Artistic Impressions, Jackson Elementary School, Harrell’s Car Wash, Twisted Crew Brewery and Red Star pizza shop.
