Seymour Department of Public Works is about to put the pedal down on a project to improve safety for bicyclists.
Director Bill Everhart expects workers to start painting bike lanes on Marley Lane on the city’s south side sometime this week.
The first route will be around a mile and take riders from Village Green mobile home park northeast to Burkart Boulevard. Roads included on the route are Marley, Oak Street, Jackson Park Drive and Hillcrest Drive.
Lanes will be marked on both sides of the street.
