What drew you to sports?

“I played sports in high school because I enjoyed being part of a team. I loved the satisfaction you feel when you win that game or break/set a school record and you know the blood, sweat and tears you left on the court during practice were all worth it.”

What are your favorite memories of high school sports?

“My favorite memory is winning the 2000 volleyball sectional championship. However, every year of every sport I played is full of memories of great teammates and coaches. Another great memory is of the community and parents that backed the teams and offered tons of support and spirit.”

What was your biggest accomplishment?

“Winning the sectional was the biggest accomplishment because this was the first volleyball sectional win in school history.”

Are your kids involved in sports?

“I would love for both of my boys to play sports when they are of age. Noah will be old enough for tee ball next year. He practices at home now.”

How did sports affect your life?

“Playing sports made me a team player. In every aspect of life, from work, marriage to parenting, you have to be a team player to succeed.”

What would you say to encourage kids to get involved in sports?

“I would encourage kids to get involved in sports because you never know what you are capable of until someone pushes you and believes in you. You may find some sports you’re not so good at, but in other sports, you may even set a new school record. It is hard work, but the friendships, fun, team building and memories you will gain make it all worth it.”

Do you have any hobbies?

“Right now, my only hobby is being a mommy to two boys.”

Do you have a favorite sports team?

“The Indianapolis Colts. Go Colts!”

Do you have a favorite athlete?

“Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning, Robert Mathis.”
