Crews spent much of Wednesday clearing area streets and roads of the more than 4 inches of snow, sleet and ice that blanketed the region.
Harry Maginity, a spokesman for the Indiana Department of Transportation, said Wednesday afternoon that clearing of roads appeared to be going well in the 18-county Seymour district.
“U.S. 31 between Columbus and Seymour is wet southbound and slushy northbound,” he said.
