Winter rears its head again



Tribune staff reports

Area road crews and law enforcement officials braced for 3 to 5 inches of snow this morning across Jackson County.

The National Weather Service expected snow from a winter storm approaching out of the southwest to start falling around 1 a.m. and continue through 7 a.m. today. Snow actually started falling at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

A mix of precipitation was expected, ranging from rain to sleet to ice to snow.
