Motorists were warned to expect drifting snow along north-south roads this morning following a storm that left up to 4 inches of snow across Jackson County.

Winds were expected to keep that snow blowing around overnight, said spokesman Harry Maginity of the Indiana Department of Transportation.

State and local road crews were scheduled to work around the clock if needed to clear drifts and tackle slick spots, local officials said.
