Wolka leads Seymour wrestlers in invitational


One Seymour wrestler went 5-0, and two others went 4-1 Saturday when the Owls competed in the Floyd Central Invitational.

Senior Adam Wolka, wrestling in the 285-pound weight class, was undefeated on the day. He won by pin in 44 seconds, 55 seconds, 1:26 and 3:32; and he won his other match by a 5-1 decision. He was the team’s only winner in a 74-6 loss to the host Highlanders.

At 220, senior Tyler Loud won four matches by pin in less than a minute each. His only loss was against Floyd Central, when he was pinned in 4:58.
