Woman arrested after pursuit



Police found a safe thought to have been stolen in Seymour after a chase ended in a wreck and the arrest of a Washington County woman over the weekend.

Christy M. Clayton, 27, Campbellsburg, remained in the Jackson County Jail on Sunday in lieu of $1,005 bond. She was booked into jail at 11:45 p.m. Friday.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Department arrested Clayton on charges of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, resisting law enforcement, criminal recklessness with a vehicle, operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs, possession of stolen property, battery on a police officer and possession of a hypodermic needle.
