Woman arrested following high-speed chase

A report of a speeding car Monday night led to a high-speed chase that ended with the arrest of an Illinois woman.

Gloria L. Risken, 62, of Champaign, Ill., was arrested and taken to Jackson County Jail at Brownstown. She faces charges of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, a Class D felony, and reckless driving, a Class B misdemeanor.

She remained in jail Tuesday morning, a jailer said.

During the pursuit, no vehicles or other property was damaged and there were no injuries, Sgt. Noel Houze of the Indiana State Police Versailles Post said.
