Job owned “7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 yoke of oxen and 500 female donkeys, and very many servants.” (Job 1:3) He had seven sons and three daughters. He was a morally upright and blameless man “who feared God and turned away from evil.”
People knew him to be “the greatest of all the people of the east.” Beyond doubt, he was massively wealthy.
Then in one single day, everything was stolen or destroyed. The wind blew the house down on top of his 10 children while they ate and drank wine. Every one of them was killed.
