Worship choir to present ‘Because He Lives’

The Worship Choir of Central Christian Church will present “Because He Lives,” created by Sue C. Smith and Russell Mauldin, this weekend.

The musical will be staged during the 9 a.m. Sunday service. It will be under the direction of Doug Elliott, worship pastor. Elliott is a graduate of Anderson University with a degree in church music, worship and music business. He was a studio musician for the Gaithers and has been a backup singer for the Gaither Trio, Ray Boltz, Steve Green, Gary McSpadden and Homecoming Friends.

Elliott lives in Bedford with his wife, Tracy, and their son, Josh. He has pastored churches in Florida, Alabama, Ohio and Indiana. Elliott began his ministry with Central Christian Church in December 2012.
