Wrestler advances to semistate with regional triumph

Seymour senior Matthew Ruddick is all too familiar with the last few weeks of the wrestling season.

His performance at the IHSAA regional championships Saturday at Jeffersonville showed that.

Ruddick claimed the 145-pound title, going on a 9-3 run in the third period to ultimately secure a fall against Austin Spray of Southwestern (Hanover) with 12 seconds left.
