You should know: United Way campaign surpasses 40% of goal

Pledges to this year’s Jackson County United Way goal hit 40 percent last week, one month into the campaign.

Pledges through Friday totaled $390,488.82, or 42 percent of the $910,000 goal, executive director Tonya Couch said Monday.

This week, the agency is celebrating Spirit of Giving Week.

“As part of this yearly effort, United Way will help focus attention on the critical need to address education, health and financial stability in Jackson County,” Couch said. “Additionally, partner agencies join in the annual campaign fun by participating in a Spirit of Giving Week.”
