Seymour Youth Bowling Association will conduct signups for its Saturday Morning Youth League from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Kingpins Bowl in Seymour.
There are three divisions for bowlers from preschool through age 20. Rules and fees will be explained while you fill out your paperwork. You can bring three of your friends and make your own team. Bowling will begin at 9:45 a.m. Sept. 6.
Other bowling opportunities for area youth include Seymour High School bowling, which is open to any SHS student, and Seymour Middle School bowling, which is open to any area kids in Grades 6 through 8. Both groups are currently practicing at 4 p.m. Wednesdays at Kingpins Bowl.
Trinity Lutheran and Crothersville high schools also have teams for Grades 9 through 12. Those students can check with their school about signups.
Kingpins Bowl also will be conducting a weeknight league for bowlers in Grades 6 through 12. Signups will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Sept. 9 in the bowling alley's conference room. Due to lane availability, this league may be split between two nights if participation requires. The actual night (or nights) is yet to be determined.
All of these opportunities are offered by a group of volunteers that have all been background checked through the United States Bowling Congress' Registered Volunteer Program.
