Youth leaders: Middle schoolers see benefits of responsibility

Alan Perry joined YoJack last year to expand his leadership skills and to continue climbing the ladder to success.

This year, as an eighth-grader at Seymour Middle School, Perry is serving as a youth adviser for the program and stands as a role model for seventh-graders involved in the youth leadership program.

“I’ve been through what they’re doing now, so really I’m just there to help guide them in the right direction,” he said. “Show them the way.”
