A zoning study shows Brownstown could use as many as two residential and two business districts along with districts for industrial and agricultural operations.
That study, prepared by Eric Damian Kelly with Duncan Associates of Muncie, was discussed during a council meeting Monday night at Town Hall.
“I think this is a pretty important document we have here since we have gone 196 years without planning and zoning,” council President John Nolting said of the study.
“I think it’s time,” he added.
Town attorney Joe Markel said he had not had much time to review the information in the 13-page study, but it looked as though Kelly would like the council to read through it and make suggestions.
“This is really, really rough,” Markel said.
