From the starting infielders and outfielders to the girls on the bench, everyone plays an important role on Trinity Lutheran High School’s softball team.
That’s first-year head coach Tom Barker’s philosophy, and he’s sticking to it.
“Most teams at the end of the year, they have an MVP,” Barker said. “For Trinity’s team here, every girl that plays, you have to have. Every girl is important and is valuable to their position, and that’s what makes this team. That’s what we’re trying to teach, is it’s a team. It’s not a one-person effort here. It’s a team effort here for us.”
