Wedding barn application to be reviewed Tuesday

The Jackson County Board of Zoning Appeals will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Jackson County Courthouse, 111 S. Main St., Brownstown.

Board members will review an application filed by Christina McMurray, who is seeking a special exception to construct a wedding event/barn venue in a forest and recreational zoning district in Seymour.

The Jackson County Plan Commission gave a favorable recommendation for the application during a meeting last month. If the application is approved by the BZS, construction can begin on the wedding venue at 2668 W. State Road 58.

McMurray said it will feature modern conveniences, such as temperature control, and she plans on couples being able to have weddings at all times of the year.
