SWANSEA, Wales — Swansea made it two wins from two games at the start of the Premier League season by beating Burnley 1-0 on Saturday thanks to Nathan Dyer's first-half goal.

Playing in his 100th Premier League game, the right winger ran onto a throughball by Gylfi Sigurdsson and delivered a low finish in the 22nd minute at Liberty Stadium.

The Welsh club was expected to struggle this season but has a maximum six points, having beaten Manchester United 2-1 away on the opening weekend.

Promoted Burnley enjoyed large spells of possession in the second half, with Lukas Jutkiewicz wasting three good chances, but slipped to a second straight defeat after losing 3-1 to Chelsea on Monday.
